QUICK RELEASE SYSTEM
The Quick Release System is designed to attach and remove your Powderack from your snowmobile with ease. The following are instructions on how to mount your quick release system.
Lift Bar Mount Rear and Side Racks:
1. Place the u-shaped Quick Release clamps over the lift bar of the snowmobile and align on center.
2. Have a helper hold the Powderack vertical on the snowmobile while positioning the support arms on the side of the snowmobile tunnel.
3. Insert the pins into the clamps to hold in place.
4. Position the support arms in the same location on the snowmobile tunnel and mark through the mounting hole with a marker. Make sure the holes in the same location on each side by measuring with a tape measure and are at least 1" from the top of the snowmobile tunnel so that the large washer will fit inside the tunnel. Check inside the tunnel before drilling the holes to ensure you are not drilling into anything essential such as the cooling coils, the track, suspension etc!
5. Drill 1/4" diameter holes where you have marked the positions.
6. Place the large washer over the 1/4" x 1" bolt. Insert the bolt through the hole from the inside of the tunnel.
7. Place the small washer on the bolt on the outside of the tunnel.
8. Place the 1/4? nut with lock washer oriented to the outside in order to contact the support arm.
9. Slide the support arms over the bolts on both sides, and attach the knob to the bolt to secure the support arms to the bolts.
10. Loop the strap around the lift bar and tighten.
Rear Mount Rack Polaris Wide Track:
1. Slide the bottom clamps over the bottom rung of the Polaris Wide Track gear rack and position on center.
2. Slide the top clamps over the top rung of the gear rack. You will have to lift the rack slightly to position the clamp over the top rung.
3. Insert the pins in the top clamps.
4. Attach the strap securing bar to the rear tail light mounting plate below the light by positioning the bar and drilling 2 holes.
5. Loop the strap around the securing bar and tighten.
